De Shell wil graag, maar de gemeente moet nog vergunning geven.<br class=\"html-br\" \/><br class=\"html-br\" \/>De Molenwerf in het Oostnieuwland dankt haar naam aan de molen &#8216;de Roode Leeuw&#8217; of kortweg &#8216;Roomolen&#8217;. Zij was op stadsgrond gebouwd en werd daar al in de tweede helft van de 16de eeuw aangetroffen. De molen was oorspronkelijk een houten standaard, doch ze moet in 1581 als stenen runmolen zijn herbouwd. In 1858 werd de molen ontdaan van haar wieken en balie. Daarna was ze als tapperij in gebruik. Het restant van de molen werd bij het bombardement in 1940 verwoest.<br class=\"html-br\" \/><br class=\"html-br\" \/>De fotograaf is Aad Boer en de foto komt uit het Stadsarchief Rotterdam.
